curated by justin schwab, on a limb presents singer-songwriters performing in the midst of a small group of experienced improvisers and asks all involved to take risks and challenge each other. the result is an unrehearsed collaboration between musicians from different backgrounds making music that has never been heard before.
victor bateman's creative improvisation workshops
open to musicians of all levels and backgrounds, this is a four-session
series of workshops in free improvisation led by toronto bassist and composer,
victor bateman. the emphasis is on the development of listening
skills through playing. the material covered considers music in a comprehensive manner, and encourages those participating to broaden their awareness to include all the possibilities available to them as improvisors.
